There are professionals who can tell when a person is lying: they evaluate his movements, the direction of his gaze, changes in the tone of his voice. However, such skills are possessed by a very small number of the population. What should the rest of the people do who desperately need to know the truth, but the usual ways to do it do not help? Pass a lie detector. This completely painless and safe procedure has been popular in Europe. It reached Ukraine not long ago. However, this service is already used by numerous reputable organizations. For ordinary citizens, the lie detector test is also gaining relevance in Austria.
Testing takes place in two stages. First, the customer makes an appointment with a polygraph examiner. They discuss the topic in detail and identify questions that need answers. The client pays for the procedure and is instructed on how to prepare the interviewee for the process.
The next stage is a polygraph test. It begins with an introductory conversation with the respondent: they explain to him how the process will proceed and take written consent from him to carry out all the necessary measures.
After that, with the help of power sources, the polygraph itself is attached to it. The expert asks the interviewee a series of simple questions, the answer to which does not cause a particular emotional reaction. Thus, the device measures the reactions of the body in a calm state. Then, the specialist moves on to pre-prepared questions that directly relate to the topic of the meeting. When a person answers with a lie, his heart rate, blood pressure, pulse, and perspiration change uncontrollably. The detector records this, and the polygraph examiner compares it with previous readings and makes the appropriate conclusion. The whole process lasts up to 3 hours, depending on the complexity of the questions, their number and the response speed of the respondent.
The accuracy of this procedure is about 97%. The main part of the result depends on the polygraph examiner – on his knowledge and experience. However, factors such as temperature, health status of the interviewee, poorly attached sensors also affect the result.
The price for a lie detector in Austria is formed separately in each case, because its value directly depends on the type of case.
The truth is what every person deserves. And a polygraph test is a really fast and very accurate way to discover the truth.
