The Polygraph Examiners Union of Ukraine (SPU) provides certified polygraph testing in Italy — at our Milan office or at your location anywhere in the country. Preliminary results on the day of the test.
In short: a lie detector test in Italy costs from 100 €, takes 1.5–2.5 hours and delivers 95–98% accuracy. SPU examiners work at the Milan office (Corso Europa 15) or travel to any Italian city. Verbal results are given right after the session; the official written report follows in 3–5 business days. Every examiner is listed in the official Register of Polygraph Examiners of Ukraine. The preliminary consultation is free.
Italy is home to one of the largest Ukrainian communities in Europe, alongside thousands of international families and businesses. Questions of trust do not disappear with relocation — they often become sharper: long-distance relationships, mixed-language teams, money sent between countries, household staff you barely know.
These questions are especially close for the many Ukrainian and Eastern-European families who have settled across Italy in recent years. When people are divided between countries, doubts are hard to settle over the phone, and business is done far from home. Below are the situations people ask us about most often.
Suspicion of infidelity, hidden debts, a conflict stuck in endless arguments. Get an answer instead of guessing.
Infidelity test →Pre-employment screening, investigations of theft and leaks, checks of staff with access to money.
Personnel screening →Forensic psychophysiological testing, examinations for court use, refuting false accusations.
Forensic testing →Checking the reliability of a partner or borrower before a deal or a loan.
Borrower assessment →Vetting nannies, housekeepers, guards and drivers. Protect your home and family.
Staff vetting →Substance use, thefts at home, dangerous social circles — clarified delicately.
Teen testing →Emigration puts trust to the test. One partner works in Italy while the other stays home, or the whole family relocates while relationships and business ties remain in another country. Months or years apart are rarely settled by phone — and accusations at a distance only deepen the doubt.
A lie detector test here is not a way to "catch" someone but a way to restore clarity. Often it is the result confirming faithfulness that becomes the turning point: the couple stops living in suspicion. We run such tests with the utmost care — only with voluntary written consent, without pressure, and with the right to decline any question. Where it helps, the examiner speaks with the client in their native language to ease the tension.
It is worth stressing that a polygraph in family matters is a tool of clarity, not punishment. We never pressure anyone into a test and never work behind a second person's back: the check is possible only by informed consent. Often the very willingness to take the test already removes half of the tension, while the result either restores trust or opens the way to an honest conversation without mutual accusations.
A polygraph simultaneously records several physiological indicators: breathing, pulse, blood pressure and electrodermal activity. An attempt to deceive triggers involuntary reactions that cannot be consciously controlled.
SPU examiners follow the standardized CQT and CIT methodologies used by the FBI, CIA and police services. Accuracy under protocol — 95–98%.
Clarifying the situation and agreeing on question wording. The examinee sees every question in advance — no surprises.
Safe and painless. Sensors record physiological parameters throughout the test.
A series of yes/no questions with several repetitions for reliability.
A verbal preliminary conclusion right after the test. The official written report follows in 3–5 business days.
Contrary to the myths, a polygraph does not detect "a lie" directly and does not read minds. It records how physiological reactions change across different categories of questions and compares them with one another. Readings are taken on four channels at once, and it is the involuntary nature of these reactions that makes the method informative: the body responds faster than a person can think an answer through.
The conclusion is not based on a single spike but on a stable pattern — how consistently and strongly the body reacts to relevant topics compared with control ones. Several repetitions and the combination of channels filter out ordinary nervousness, while deliberate attempts to "beat" the device only show up more clearly on the chart. That is why the examiner's result rests on the whole picture, not on one impression.
The price depends on the type of test and the number of topics examined. The preliminary phone consultation is free. We accept cash, card payments and invoicing for corporate clients.

Get a consultationThe owner of a family restaurant noticed regular cash discrepancies. Suspicion fell on three employees, each denying involvement. A polygraph screening of the staff identified the person responsible — and cleared the other two, preserving the team. The owner received a written report that supported a calm, private decision without public accusations.
A Ukrainian woman working in Rome began doubting her husband's fidelity back home. Mutual accusations were destroying the family. Both agreed to take an infidelity test during his visit to Italy. The results gave a clear answer and allowed the couple to stop guessing and start rebuilding.
Two business partners from the Ukrainian community in Turin disputed the terms of a private loan. Instead of a lengthy court case, both took a polygraph examination at a lawyer's request. The dispute was settled out of court within two weeks.
A young hotel administrator on the Italian coast was suspected by colleagues of taking money from the till, though there was no proof. To clear his name he asked for a lie detector test himself. The result confirmed his account and restored a normal atmosphere in the team — the polygraph worked to protect an honest person.

You receive an official written report from a certified SPU examiner. It is widely used in private disputes, corporate decisions and family matters; whether it can be attached to court materials depends on the jurisdiction and the type of proceedings — discuss your specific case with your lawyer, and we will prepare the examination in the required format.
No special preparation is needed — in fact, a calm, ordinary state gives the best result. Get a good night's sleep, avoid alcohol and sedatives the day before, eat as usual and arrive without rushing. If you take medication prescribed by a doctor, simply mention it during the pre-test interview — it is a normal part of the procedure, not an obstacle.
There is no point in "rehearsing" answers or making yourself nervous on purpose: you will see and agree on every question in advance, and the method is designed to tell natural anxiety apart from a concealment reaction. A calm attitude and an honest pre-test conversation are all that is required from you.
The procedure is safe and painless, but in a few cases the session is better postponed: an acute cardiovascular or neurological condition, pregnancy, severe stress, or alcohol and sedatives taken the day before. Minors are tested only with written consent and in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.
The examiner checks for any contraindications during the mandatory pre-test interview, so it is important to be honest about how you feel and any medication. If you feel unwell on the day of the appointment, it is wiser to move the session by a few days — the accuracy of the result depends directly on the person's condition.
