Teen testing →Since 2022, tens of thousands of Ukrainian families have settled in Bulgaria — mostly along the coast, in Varna, Burgas and Sofia. Many families are divided: some stayed in Ukraine, some moved further into Europe, some work in rotation. Months apart put trust to the test, and phone calls rarely settle the doubts.
A lie detector test in such a situation is not a way to "catch" someone but a way to restore clarity. Often it is the result confirming faithfulness that becomes the turning point: the couple stops living in suspicion. We run such tests with the utmost care — only with voluntary written consent, without pressure, and with the right to decline any question. Where it helps, the examiner speaks with the client in their native language to ease the tension.
It is worth stressing that a polygraph in family matters is a tool of clarity, not punishment. We never pressure anyone into a test and never work behind a second person's back: the check is possible only by informed consent. Often the very willingness to take the test already removes half of the tension, while the result either restores trust or opens the way to an honest conversation without mutual accusations.
During the test the instrument records several body indicators at once — breathing rhythm, pulse and blood pressure, plus micro-changes in the skin's electrical conductivity. When a person tries to hide the truth, these reactions arise on their own, beyond conscious control — that is exactly what the method is built on.
SPU examiners follow the internationally recognized CQT and CIT methodologies — the same ones used by law-enforcement agencies in the US and Europe. When the protocol is followed, the accuracy of the conclusion reaches 95–98%.

A polygraph does not "read minds" — it simply compares how the body reacts to different groups of questions. Readings are taken on four channels at once: breathing, heart activity, skin response and small movements. It is the involuntary nature of these reactions that makes them informative: the body responds faster than a person can think an answer through.
The examiner looks not at a single spike but at a stable pattern — how consistently and strongly the body reacts to relevant questions compared with neutral ones. The conclusion is built on several repetitions and the combination of channels, so ordinary nervousness does not distort the result, while deliberate attempts at countermeasures only show up more clearly on the chart.

Get a consultationThe owner of a family hotel in Varna noticed regular cash shortages during the summer season. Suspicion fell on three employees, each denying involvement. Ukrainian-owned companies, international teams and the resort business in Bulgaria face dishonesty among staff as an everyday risk — especially where cash turnover is high and there are many seasonal workers. For an on-site session, any quiet room of 10 m² or more works: a meeting room, a private office, a hotel room or a room at home. A session in Sofia can usually be arranged within 1–2 days; for other cities, allow 2–4 days depending on the schedule.

The polygraph needs no special preparation at all. What helps most is a calm, ordinary state: sleep well the night before, skip alcohol and sedatives, eat as you normally would and don't rush on your way. Just tell the examiner at the start of the interview about any medication prescribed by your doctor — that is part of the standard procedure.
Don't try to memorize answers or work yourself up on purpose: every question is shown and agreed with you beforehand, and the method is built precisely to separate ordinary nerves from a concealment response. A calm mindset and an honest pre-test talk are all you need to bring.
The test itself is safe, but a few conditions call for postponing the session: a flare-up of heart or neurological disease, pregnancy, heavy stress, or alcohol and sedatives the day before. Minors are examined only with written consent and a parent or guardian present.
The examiner clarifies any contraindications during the compulsory pre-test interview, so it matters to be honest about your well-being and medication. If you feel unwell on the day of the appointment, it is smarter to shift the session by a few days — the reliability of the result depends directly on your condition.
You receive an official written report from a certified SPU examiner. It is widely used in private disputes, corporate decisions and family matters. Whether the report can be attached to court materials in a Bulgarian court depends on the jurisdiction and the type of proceedings — discuss your specific case with your lawyer, and we will prepare the examination in the required format.
