Theft detection using a lie detector

Theft detection using a polygraph

About the service

Theft is a very unpleasant incident for the owner, and it can happen anywhere: in the family, between loved ones, or at work. This situation is also difficult because one has to suspect relatives, acquaintances, colleagues and other people whom one trusted before. In such a situation, it is extremely important to find out the truth, not only in order to expose the person who committed the crime, but also to avoid accusing the innocent. In this case, a lie detector test will be the ideal solution to the problem.

What problems we are working with

Polygraph testing will help:

– Avoid senseless threats, quarrels and groundless accusations;

– Save the owner’s time that could be spent investigating the case;

– Identify innocent people accurately and maintain good relationships with them;

– Track down the perpetrator of the theft.

– Determine the presence of conspirators;

– Determine the purpose of the crime and key details;

– Find out the method of abduction, and take the necessary measures to prevent it from happening again.

A lie detector test is a procedure that will unmistakably point to the guilty person in cases where there are no other ways to find out the truth, or they are uninformative.

If the culprit is identified, the polygraph will help find out:

– Did the intruder steal on his own or on his own initiative? Or he has clients/ accomplices/ gunners/ assistants;

– What kind of goods or how much money was stolen (if there is no list or exact amount);

– Where is the stolen property currently located (if it has not yet been found);

– Where did the thief sell the stolen goods;

– Conditions of committing theft: time, place, method, use of auxiliary tools.

Ways out of the solution

For a burglary owner, it is extremely important that the polygraph test results are very accurate. For this, you need to follow several rules:

– Do not tell anyone the details of the crime. Persons who will be tested should not know where the stolen item was at the time of the theft, and under what conditions it disappeared. After all, only the person who committed the abduction will have this information, and the detector will definitely record it.

– Communicate sincerely and openly with the polygraph examiner, who will compile a list of questions for respondents. Tell all the details, discuss all the topics and issues that will be touched by the procedure.

– Calmly and diplomatically discuss the reason for the test with the people who will be tested. Explain to them the necessity of the process. To tell them that it is necessary not only to find the guilty, but also to acquit those who were not involved.

Benefits of working with us

Experience shows that people who have nothing to hide agree to a polygraph test without any problems.

Thus, the lie detector will not only help to find the culprit and the stolen item, but also to learn information about the crime, with the help of which to prevent similar cases in the future.

We're often asked:

Doctors strongly advise against taking a polygraph if you have any of the following conditions:

  • physical/psychiatric exhaustion;
  • Recent heart attack/stroke;
  • post-operative period;
  • Nervous/psychiatric disorders;
  • epilepsy;
  • alcohol/drug intoxication;
  • Any painful feelings at the time of testing (toothache/headache).

Attention!!! This is not about the effect of the polygraph on the person being tested. It is about the possible effects associated with the stress of the examinee and the excitement of the consequences.

An oral conclusion can be obtained immediately after inspection.

If you want a formal conclusion, we will prepare it within 3 working days and the cost is 1500 UAH, payable separately.

The polygraph test lasts between 40 minutes and 3 hours, depending on the number of questions. This is because the device is calibrated according to the reactions of the subject's nervous system with the help of control questions before the detection of reactions to stipulated questions begins.

The device - no.

A specialist polygrapher - yes, with low qualifications.

Our company has no such problems.

Test conditions. Maximum accuracy of results is ensured by a test duration of 1.5 to 3 hours. The room for polygraph testing should have an area of at least 10 m2 and ceilings over 2.5 metres high. The temperature inside must be +20...+24°C and the humidity level 70-80%. The room should be decorated in neutral colours and there should be no distracting objects in the room. Our examination rooms meet these requirements.

Condition of the person being tested. The accuracy of lie detector results cannot be guaranteed if the person being tested is in a state of severe emotional or physical exhaustion, drug or alcohol intoxication, feels painful and is taking strong medication. Individuals with cardiovascular disorders and pregnant women may have physiological abnormalities that reduce the effectiveness of polygraph testing.

Qualifications of the examiner. In order to obtain the most accurate test results, a polygraph examiner must have undergone special training and conducted several hundred real examinations. The experience of a professional using a lie detector also matters. Our professionals have all the necessary skills.

The questions asked in the polygraph are phrased in such a way that the person being tested gives unambiguous 'Yes' to 'No' answers.

You should answer the questions honestly and sincerely, without trying to hide or influence the information you give out. You can help yourself in this if you come to the test rested, without getting drunk on alcohol-coffee and whatnot.

An experienced polygraph examiner will not be fooled. Such attempts will be easily detected and will give rise to additional questions, to which the answer will be more difficult.

You should not be afraid of a polygraph test, especially if you have nothing to blame yourself for.
