Evaluation of the conclusion of a third-party expert

About the service

These days, lie detector testing is constantly gaining momentum and becoming a very popular service. Such testing is available to everyone, regardless of gender and income level. Expert firms offer a wide range of services of various types. And I would like to draw attention to the fact that the result of the survey depends not only on the device itself.

What problems we are working with

The lie detector only records the level of changes in the interviewee’s body (heart rate, sweating, pressure changes, etc.) in response to compromising questions. A specialist then forms an expert opinion based on these data. Also, the questions themselves, which are formed specifically for a particular case, play a very important role. If the polygraph examiner does not have a psychological education, or approaches this task unprofessionally, the whole process may have the wrong results in the long run.

In order to become a polygraph examiner, a person must have both professional knowledge that he acquires with the help of educational institutions (skills in conducting psychological diagnostics, mastering the necessary techniques and tools, professional communication skills), and personal qualities (motivation, stress resistance, persistence, attentiveness, the ability to observe and analyze). Experience is also very important. As a rule, the larger it is, the more accurate the expert’s conclusions.

Ways out of the solution

However, it happens that the test results provided by the specialist are incorrect. In this case, the interviewee, who knows the truth 100%, can question the competence of the polygraph examiner. What should I do in such cases? Appeal or review the test results with the help of an independent specialist.

Experience shows that the same polygraph readings can be evaluated differently by different experts. This is significantly influenced by the level of knowledge and experience of the expert. Our specialists have a higher education in the field of psychology, excellent knowledge in the field of working with the detector and many years of experience, which allows them to be confident in the results they provide.

Benefits of working with us

That is why our polygraph experts can provide an unbiased and objective assessment of the conclusion of any expert. In the future, these results can be used as material for a lawsuit, because specialists who falsify or provide false results can be held criminally liable for this.

Doctors strongly advise against taking a polygraph if you have any of the following conditions:

  • physical/psychiatric exhaustion;
  • Recent heart attack/stroke;
  • post-operative period;
  • Nervous/psychiatric disorders;
  • epilepsy;
  • alcohol/drug intoxication;
  • Any painful feelings at the time of testing (toothache/headache).

Attention!!! This is not about the effect of the polygraph on the person being tested. It is about the possible effects associated with the stress of the examinee and the excitement of the consequences.

An oral conclusion can be obtained immediately after inspection.

If you want a formal conclusion, we will prepare it within 3 working days and the cost is 1500 UAH, payable separately.

The polygraph test lasts between 40 minutes and 3 hours, depending on the number of questions. This is because the device is calibrated according to the reactions of the subject's nervous system with the help of control questions before the detection of reactions to stipulated questions begins.

The device - no.

A specialist polygrapher - yes, with low qualifications.

Our company has no such problems.

Test conditions. Maximum accuracy of results is ensured by a test duration of 1.5 to 3 hours. The room for polygraph testing should have an area of at least 10 m2 and ceilings over 2.5 metres high. The temperature inside must be +20...+24°C and the humidity level 70-80%. The room should be decorated in neutral colours and there should be no distracting objects in the room. Our examination rooms meet these requirements.

Condition of the person being tested. The accuracy of lie detector results cannot be guaranteed if the person being tested is in a state of severe emotional or physical exhaustion, drug or alcohol intoxication, feels painful and is taking strong medication. Individuals with cardiovascular disorders and pregnant women may have physiological abnormalities that reduce the effectiveness of polygraph testing.

Qualifications of the examiner. In order to obtain the most accurate test results, a polygraph examiner must have undergone special training and conducted several hundred real examinations. The experience of a professional using a lie detector also matters. Our professionals have all the necessary skills.

The questions asked in the polygraph are phrased in such a way that the person being tested gives unambiguous 'Yes' to 'No' answers.

You should answer the questions honestly and sincerely, without trying to hide or influence the information you give out. You can help yourself in this if you come to the test rested, without getting drunk on alcohol-coffee and whatnot.

An experienced polygraph examiner will not be fooled. Such attempts will be easily detected and will give rise to additional questions, to which the answer will be more difficult.

You should not be afraid of a polygraph test, especially if you have nothing to blame yourself for.
